Recognising excellence in change and transformation.

The Change Awards recognises organisations, consultancies and individuals whose work demonstrates excellence in change and transformation. Recognition is based on evidence, independent judging and a commitment to advancing the practice of change and transformation.

Constitutional Principles

Recognition is guided by three principles.

Why we exist

Recognition exists not only to celebrate achievement, but to identify work that advances the practice of change and transformation and contributes to a broader understanding of organisational adaptability.

How we recognition is earned

Recognition is earned through demonstrable evidence rather than reputation. Every submission is assessed against published criteria to ensure recognised work demonstrates measurable excellence and contributes meaningful learning for the profession.

How we protect integrity

Recognition is overseen by an independent Judging Committee comprising leaders from industry, academia, professional bodies and recognised methodologies. Independent assessment ensures that recognition reflects demonstrable excellence supported by professional judgement.

One Institution. One Highest Recognition.

The Global Change Award - the highest honour conferred by Change Awards.

The Global Change Award exists to recognise organisations whose contribution extends beyond the successful delivery of individual transformation programmes. It honours those whose work advances the practice of change and transformation itself through sustained excellence, measurable impact and enduring influence.

Where category awards recognise excellence within a specific discipline or achievement, the Global Change Award recognises an organisation’s overall contribution to the profession. It represents the highest institutional recognition conferred by the Change Awards and is reserved for work of exceptional significance.

Introduced in 2027, the Global Change Award recognises organisations whose contribution has shaped the future of change and transformation beyond individual programmes or initiatives.

*Conferred only where excellence deserves recognition.

Judging Process

Six principles guide every assessment.

01. Anonymous assessment

Judges assess submissions without seeing the identities of entrants, helping ensure decisions are based on evidence rather than reputation or visibility.

02. Independent judgement

Every submission is assessed independently to ensure recognition reflects professional judgement rather than influence.

03. Evidence before opinion

Recognition is awarded on the evidence presented within each submission against published assessment criteria.

04. Multiple professional perspectives

Submissions are independently reviewed by multiple judges before final decisions are agreed.

05. Collective Expertise

The Judging Committee combines practitioners, academics and recognised industry experts to provide balanced professional judgement.

06. Confidential until the ceremony

The identities of winners and runners-up remain confidential throughout the judging process. Judges, entrants and partners learn the results together during the Change Awards Ceremony.
